Limes are so versatile and can be used to add a little bit of acidity to recipes, cocktails and more. I always have a handful of limes at home and they comes in handy almost every single day.
Limeade is a sweetened lime flavored drink that is combined with sparkling water for a refreshing summer beverage. For this recipe, I combined guava nectar, pineapple chunks and Spindrift pineapple sparkling water.
I am a huge fan of sparkling water, seltzers and carbonated drinks and just recently came across Spindrift sparkling waters (not sponsored). Unlike most carbonated beverages, they have a hint of real fruit juice.
For this recipe, I simply added some pineapple chunks to a glass, lime juice and topped it with ice and the guava nectar. The pineapple sparkling water paired perfectly making it a refreshing beverage for any occasion.
Feel free to transform this mocktail into a cocktail by adding your choice of hard liquor. Going along with the tropical vibe, I suggest going with dark rum.
Guava Pineapple Limeade
Guava nectar, lime juice and pineapple chunks topped with pineapple sparkling water
- ½ cup light guava nectar
- 1 8 oz can pineapple chunks
- 2 limes
- 1 can Spindrift pineapple sparkling water
- chile lime seasoning (pinch) (optional)
Grab two medium sized beverage glasses. Add 5-6 pineapple chunks to the bottom of each glass. Save the pineapple juice for something else or discard it.
Using a lime squeezer, juice the limes equally between the two glasses. Add in some ice to the glasses leaving enough room for the other ingredients.
Split the guava nectar between the two glasses and top with the pineapple sparkling water. You should aim to have 2 parts of sparkling water to one part guava nectar.
Add a sprinkle of chile lime seasoning if desired. Enjoy!
If you want something stronger, add in some dark rum or your favorite liquor.
